The Costa del Sol

Legend has it that the sun shines for 325 days a year, that has not been disproved yet! The beaches are one of the Costa del Sol’s biggest tourist attractions, strictly speaking the Costa del Sol stretches from Nerja to Manilva but the sunshine reaches all along the southern coastline.

‘Urban’ beaches like La Rada beach in Estepona or Del Faro in Marbella are, as the name suggests, town centred beaches where you will find all sorts of amenities right on your doorstep. Sunbeds, massage services, all manner of watersports, and of course beach bars, cafes and restaurants.

If you prefer a more private, and perhaps natural, experience there are many small coves and bays all along the coast. One of the most famous natural beaches has to be Cabopino with its famous sand dunes now restored.

Urban beaches all tend to have lifeguards in attendance and most offer some from of serviced sun lounger with parasols and changing and showers close by. Most natural beaches are tolerant of nudism but do check local signs.

You will find lots of great places to visit and shop in TheLista.
